Modern customer contact via WhatsApp with tdMessenger and Plan-IT

18-12-2023

A software integration of ThinkingDutch and Plan-IT International makes it even easier to speak to customers in a modern way from now on.

tdMessenger is a WhatsApp solution for dealerships. It replaces the SMS function with WhatsApp, so to speak, making it faster and easier to reach customers for making workshop appointments and sending appointment reminders, live invitations, status updates and car ready notifications of a vehicle via the link with Plan-IT.

tdMessenger uses the dealer's fixed telephone number, already known to customers, and in the background handles WhatsApp traffic with the right person within the organisation. This way, the customer is always in touch with the employee who is aware of the situation and there is no need to switch between them within the company. Incidentally, it is possible to transfer calls to other employees within the organisation or across branches, if desired. tdMessenger is fully AVG-proof and therefore complies with European directives.

What does this look like in practice?

As soon as an initial message is sent to the customer from Plan-IT, this customer is linked to a WhatsApp chat. tdMessenger then recognises this customer and in the background ensures that this customer is linked to a permanent employee within the dealership in the workshop, reception or warehouse department. This employee is then linked to this customer throughout the process via the WhatsApp chat. Besides reception, workshop and warehouse, sales department can also use tdMessenger. In sales, tdMessenger offers the option of a selection menu of the various salespeople.

Constant insight into call history and documentation

tdMessenger is set up so that even when an employee leaves, communication with the customer is not lost, as it is connected to the dealership's fixed telephone number. When using the WhatsApp chat, it is possible for the dealership's employees, as well as the customer, to send videos and PDF files within the chat, so that all communication remains clearly together and can be viewed.
