Plan-IT Workshop Web becomes Plan-IT Core

Plan-IT Workshop Web is getting a new name. From now on, our cloud platform will continue under the name Plan-IT Core.

With this change, we are deliberately choosing a name that better reflects what the platform has become today: not an online version of Plan-IT Workshop, but a fully independent SaaS platform for modern workshop scheduling.

Why the name change?

The name Plan-IT Workshop Web regularly caused confusion. Many organisations assumed it was simply a web-based version of Plan-IT Workshop, or that existing Plan-IT Workshop software was required in order to use it.

In reality, the platform was developed from the ground up as an independent cloud solution, with its own architecture, integrations and roadmap. That is why we are now introducing a name that better represents the platform’s role and positioning: Plan-IT Core.

What is Plan-IT Core?

Plan-IT Core is a cloud-based platform that enables complete digital workshop scheduling and management from one central environment. The platform is accessible through any browser and designed for organisations that want to schedule flexibly, scalably and in real time.

Key features of Plan-IT Core:

• Fully SaaS-based platform with no local installation or server management
• Fully responsive
• Real-time digital scheduling board for complete workshop planning
• Integrations with DMS and GMS systems through an open API
• Automatic workshop and technician capacity management
• Scalable from a single site to international dealer groups
• Available in multiple languages, including Dutch, German and English

Two products, two solutions

With the introduction of Plan-IT Core, Plan-IT Workshop will of course remain available. Both solutions have their own target audience and application.

• Plan-IT Workshop remains our proven server-based workshop scheduling solution, used daily by more than 1,500 companies across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
• Plan-IT Core has been developed for organisations looking to combine the advantages of a modern cloud solution with professional workshop scheduling capabilities.

Users of Plan-IT Workshop will therefore not automatically migrate to Plan-IT Core. These are two independent products, each with its own infrastructure and functionalities.

What does this mean for existing users?

For existing users of Plan-IT Core, nothing will change in day-to-day usage. The platform will continue to operate exactly as users are accustomed to. The transition to the new name and URL will be implemented gradually, and affected customers will be informed personally.
